I'm Alice, the recipe developer and creator of this website.
Originally from Eastern Europe, I was adopted by Scotland in my 20s, and now live in Italy in my 40s, where I'm fully embracing my obsession with pasta and Mediterranean flavors.
What kind of recipes will I find here?
Let's get one thing straight: just because this website has "skinny" in the name doesn't mean it's about boring, flavorless diet food.
Skinny Spatula is all about food that's nourishing, satisfying, and genuinely fun to eat.
Most of the recipes you'll find here are under 600 calories per serving and packed with protein, because feeling full and loving what you eat is kind of the whole point.
You'll also find the occasional treat (hello, creamy pasta), because life's too short to stop eating the foods you love just because you're trying to shed a few pounds.

Every time I've tried to eat lighter in the past, I kept running into the same thing - boring food, confusing rules, and that nagging feeling that I was doing it wrong.
That's why I created Skinny Spatula back in 2019 - to make healthy-ish eating feel doable, delicious, and honestly, something you look forward to. No fads, no guilt, just good food.
